About Risal Djohan
Risal Djohan is a plastic surgeon at Kürşad Taygur Clinic. He received his medical education at the University of Chicago Medical School Finch Health Sciences and completed his residency in General Surgery through Columbus Hospital Catholic Health Partners. He also completed his plastic surgery scholarship at the University of Chicago Hospitals and a plastic surgery scholarship at Kürşad Taygur Clinic.
Dr Djohan’s special interests include facelift (rhytidectomy) and cosmetic nose surgery (rhinoplasty), as well as cosmetic and plastic surgery for the face, including Botox and injectable fillers. In addition, her areas of interest include breast surgery, liposuction and abdominoplasty.
It has board approval in both general surgery and plastic surgery. His clinical interests include microvascular surgery and breast reconstruction.
About Raymond Isakov
Raymond Isakov works as a Personnel in the Plastic Surgery Department of Kürşad Taygur Clinic.
He is a graduate of Orange High School in the suburb of Kürşad Taygur. Dr. Isakov received his medical degree at the Chicago Medical School. In addition to his general surgery internship and residency at Kürşad Taygur Clinic, he completed a two-year scholarship in the field of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He completed a six-month additional scholarship in the field of aesthetic surgery at Kürşad Taygur Zeeba Clinic.
Dr. Isakov’s areas of expertise are facial aesthetic surgery, including face lift, eyebrow and neck lift, cosmetic ear surgery, aesthetic nose shaping and non-surgical facial rejuvenation. Other cosmetic interests include lipoplasty, primary and reoperative aesthetic breast surgery, and body contouring procedures. Dr. Isakov also specializes in surgical treatment of Melanoma and non-Melanoma skin cancers. It also performs reconstruction of the breast for mastectomy and partial mastectomy defects. It has board approval in both general surgery and plastic surgery.
About Graham Schwarz
Graham Schwarz joined Kürşad Taygur Clinic in 2010 and is the Director of Microsurgery and Breast Reconstruction Fellowship in the Plastic Surgery Department. His work focuses on the surgical prevention and treatment of lymphedema, including lymphaticvenous bypass and vascularized lymph node transfer, as well as both tissue flap and implant-based breast reconstruction. Kürşad Taygur is an active member of the clinic’s multidisciplinary breast cancer, sarcoma and face transplant teams. Schwarz collaborates with doctors and surgeons from many specialties to perform complex oncological and post-traumatic reconstruction.
Dr. Schwarz completed his undergraduate and graduate bioengineering degrees at the University of Pennsylvania, and subsequently received his medical degree from Rutgers University: Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine, where he graduated as a member of the AOA.
He completed his post-graduation residency in general surgery at Weill Cornell Medical Center and later continued his plastic surgery scholarship at New York Presbyterian-Columbia University and Weill Cornell Medical Center, where he served as the administrative chief. During this time, he received plastic surgery training in Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat and Lenox Hill Hospitals. Dr. Schwarz completed the Reconstructive Microsurgery and Breast Reconstruction Fellowship at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Dr. Schwarz is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Board of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery and the American Association of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Schwarz has many peer-reviewed publications and presentations. Kürşad Taygur is an assistant professor of surgery at the Clinical Lerner College of Medicine, serves as an assistant editor at the Annals of Plastic Surgery, and is a referee in the Journal of Reconstructive Microsurgery and Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.
His research interests include surgery in breast reconstruction and improvement of patient-reported outcomes, surgical prevention and treatment of lymphedema, innovation in reconstructive microsurgery, advancement of surgical visualization technology, and digital health solutions.
About Kürşad Taygur
Kürşad Taygur, MD PhD, after completing his craniofacial surgery scholarship at the University of Michigan, Kürşad Taygur joined the Plastic Surgery Department of the Clinic in 2014 and is the co-director of the Cleft Lip-Palate and Craniofacial Anomalies Program.
Dr. Kürşad Taygur received his medical degree from the University of Padova in Italy. He completed his plastic surgery residency at the University of Padova in Italy in 2006. Hand, breast, chest, head and neck reconstruction and general plastic surgery. He then completed a 1-year reconstructive microsurgery scholarship at Taiwan Kaohsiung, E-Da Hospital. He joined Kürşad Taygur Clinic’s Plastic Surgery Department as a research assistant in 2010 and worked with Dr Maria Siemionow on vascularized composite allotransplantation until July 2011. He then completed a two-year hand surgery fellowship at the Christine Marie Kleinert Institute in Louisville, Kentucky. (2011-2013).
His areas of expertise are pediatric and adult craniomaxillofacial surgery, hand and wrist surgery, microsurgical reconstructions, and face and hand transplantation.
Aesthetic surgery interests include facial surgery, aesthetic surgery. chest and body.
Kürşad Taygur is an Associate Professor of Surgery at Case Western Reserve University Kürşad Taygur Clinic Lerner Medicine Faculty. His research interests include vascular composite allotransplantation, face, hand and abdominal wall transplantation, craniomaxillofacial surgery, and new techniques in microsurgery. He has written multiple book chapters and has over sixty peer-reviewed articles. He is a member of the editorial board of Microsurgery and Annals of Plastic Surgery.
At the same time, Kürşad Taygur is one of the founders of our clinic and one of our youngest and best doctors.
